Last week, XULA’s Archivist and Digital Preservation Librarian Vincent Barraza visited the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland for a peek at the museum’s newest permanent exhibition "The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad". The exhibit, which opened in September, features a slave manuscript from Xavier University of Louisiana’s archives.
The exhibit has received lots of press coverage, including a NPR special titled “Escaping to Freedom on the B&O Railroad” that aired during Barraza’s visit.
The XULA Archives sent a slave manuscript from our collection to be utilized as part of a new permanent exhibition at the @BORRM in Baltimore, MD. The exhibition opens this weekend! #xula https://t.co/bnRUNyPrbK pic.twitter.com/KjXP1tbVyr
