Information Literacy Lab

Information Literacy Classroom

Library 2nd Floor, Room 210

Xavier Library’s Information Literacy Classroom is a space where librarians bring the world of information alive for students. The room has seating for 26 and features 8 laptops so students without can follow along with lessons and begin research or start creating information to share with the world. Professors can contact the librarians about bringing their class to the classroom for an information literacy session with our Instruction Requests form. In addition to classes, fun and interactive programs are happening for students so librarians can introduce information concepts in a relaxed atmosphere. The room is multifunctional, so that a distance librarian can present to in-class students or an on campus librarian can present to distance students.

Information Literacy Classroom Policies

  • Food is not allowed in the lab when laptops are in use
  • Drinks must be covered and kept away from the laptops
