Permission to use something created by another can be a tricky thing, especially when it comes to education, fair use, and the exceptions to the need for permission. It is your responsibility to put in the work and effort to avoid infringing upon the ownership rights of others. While copyright is a law, there are other types of intellectual property ownership  and laws that can be applied when using another creators work.
