Intellectual Property

The United States government has three different ways of identifying exclusive rights to intellectual property: trademarks, patents, and copyright. Copyrights are registered at the U.S. Copyright Office at the Library of Congress, whereas patents and trademarks are registered through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office within the Department of Commerce
