Nancy Hampton is the Interim Director of the Xavier University of Louisiana Library where she oversees the budget, services, and collections and manages a team of exceptional librarians and library workers. Prior to assuming this role, Nancy worked with the library's electronic and print collections. Before working at Xavier, she was a young adult librarian at The New York Public Library. These experiences helped to expand her interest in the exclusion of marginalized groups. Her dissertation research revolves around the preservation of ephemera from the Civil Rights Movement. Nancy holds a bachelor's from Howard University, a Master's in Library Science from Clark Atlanta University and an MFA from Donau Universität in Krems, Austria.
