What is Information Literacy?

A set of information handling abilities all related to each other including:

  • finding quality information
  • evaluating information for accuracy
  • understanding the value of information
  • using research to create new information
  • knowing how to give credit to other thinkers

For Faculty

Have you looked at our XULA Library Lessons and wondered if one can be tailor made for your division/department/class? The answer is yes! We can custom create one or more Library Lessons for you; 4 month advance notice is required in order to determine content, create interactivity, choose librarian, create content, and discuss student record keeping. Please contact the Head of Instruction, Emily Bufford ebufford@xula.edu, to begin the process.
