About this Guide

This guide contains links to resources that may be useful during your thesis research. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out or make an appointment with me.

Getting what you need

If you find there are books that you need and we don't have them at XULA, please use our Interlibrary Loan.

The Interlibrary Loan service can also supply copies of Papers, articles, book chapters, reports or any other documents that we don't own at XULA.

Research Consultations

Contact Jianshan Yang to arrange for a research consultation if you need help locating materials for your project or thesis. Before we meet to work on your topic, please make sure that you need to send me the following information:

  1. Describe your thesis (research) topic in a sentence or two.
  2. What materials (if any) have you collected so far?
  3. What kind of materials (books, articles, journals...) are you looking for?
  4. Please give me an example of relevant materials you found so far or that was recommended by your advisor.
  5. What library resources have you used(if any)?

Off-Campus Access

When accessing Library resources (databases, e-books, articles) outside of Xavier, you will be directed to the Library off-campus login page, like the one below. Follow the instructions to login with your Brightspace Username and Password.
