New Book Sterilizer in Library

by University Library on 2021-06-07T13:07:55-05:00 | 0 Comments

The Library has received a new book sterilizer! We now have a STERI-Book SB-601 Public book sterilizer that we can use to disinfect our books and print materials. Our staff and librarians will be able to disinfect up to six books per minute with this new machine, meaning we'll be able to get materials back on the shelves quicker. All books and print materials returned to the Library will be run through the STERI-Book SB-601 Public, which will replace the need to quarantine materials for seven days.

If you're interested in learning more about COVID-19 and library materials, you can check out the research being done at the REALM Project
