Writing Prompts

  • Have your cleaning habits changed since the pandemic started? Have you purchased new products?
  • Have you been eating out less and going to the grocery store more, or vice versa? Do you feel the need to do one more than the other?
  • What are the steps you take before leaving the house? Do you wear gloves or face coverings? Do you carry disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer? Do you do different things before going to different locations? What are the steps you take when returning home?
  • How did you feel about campus closure? Did you think that it happened too soon, too late, or at the right time?
  • What have been some of your biggest fears/anxieties during the pandemic?
  • What has been the biggest change you’ve experienced?
  • What do you hope changes after the pandemic has subsided?
  • Share a positive moment that has happened since the beginning of March.
  • How do you feel about returning to campus for the Fall 2020 semester?
  • Are you doing anything for self-care? Do you have any steps to destress and relax? If you are practicing self-care, is it different now from what you normally do? Did you practice self-care before the pandemic?
  • Have you made your own face coverings or hand sanitizer? Were these new skills you acquired during the pandemic or did you already know how to make these items? Are you making any items for anyone else, either to donate or sell?
  • Do you go to parks and/or exercise outside? Were these activities you did before the pandemic, or did you start doing them in response to it?
